my debut. inspired by the fact that one day I decided to check whether anyone had made a dj mix of prehistoric music. No one had! so my dumbass, with absolutely 0 prior experience in ableton, threw something together primarily sampling prehistoric music. rocks clanging, thousands-of-years-old wind instruments, etc, etc. it came together pretty well I think. i highly recommend making your first album a gimmick one just so if it’s good, it’s good, and if it sucks it doesn’t matter. I made this in about 3 days. cover art was a collaboration between me and octa mobius sheffner. I made the background fossil thing, they added a few images on top, I fucked with the colours and glitched it out a bit, they added a mammoth. Sensational.

debut ep. i’d just released grunksock and I was feelin pretty good, so this came together in about 2 hours. it’s based on another idea I’d had for a while where I only sampled things from this album. I thought it would work as a cool sample pack. I personally think this came out pretty well. It’s a lot, um, colder and noisier than the last one and my irl friends hated it lol (at least they listened to it so, um, shoutout to them for that). the source image for the cover is hilarious and you will never know what it is.

so one day in the 7form discord someone found this video and it was… incredible. someone hit up the school to ask if they had the acapella, and they actually sent us different files for the rap and the backing vocals. we all thought it would be cool to remix it. so we made it a challenge; we had an hour to make, well, something. this was the third little release from that time. jens, god bless his heart, put effort into converting it into a noise piece with merzbow samples, a ton of effects, etc, etc. the whole hour I was absolutely fiending for ideas. I probably made about 5 different things in that hour, ranging from weird industrial things, to mashups, etc, etc. at some point I made a loop from sade’s kiss of life and well, it wasn’t great but the contrast it had with jens’ track was hilarious to me. So I made mine in about 2 minutes. That’s why it says that. also I made the blue art thing in the background when a friend asked me to fuck up a bob ross painting

astrosock – eternalisation

all of my albums are just, based on goofy fucking ideas. this one started off as ‘what music can I make when every sound is sampled from astroworld by travis scott’ and um, well, here it is. The first hour or so is more strict on that limitation, the second half just kinda does whatever it wants. That idea was initially never gonna go anywhere, but one day I accidentally made some weird sounding chopped and screwed shit out of a few tracks on astroworld and thought I could build an album around that. turns out I could! so this album kinda just has a bunch of ideas all over it; theres ambient, noise, chopped and screwed, trap, industrial hip hop, glitch, mashups, etc, etc. it’s really stupid, and jens even described it as ‘half album half dj mix’. Take from that what you will. I think
